Day 18

Day 18- Write a poem without any end rhyme, only internal rhyme.

Brilliance seems to elude my being, seeing as the substitute is half-wittedness
A snarky comeback, can only lack in comparison of statistical IQ
I yearn for knowledge, just the existential symbolic, not analytical and numerical knowhow
What does a mind like mine, have a place in a societal race where my Stats grade, destinate my self-worth and employment check
Perhaps I am simply idioticcatatonic in progressing to any other neuro level beyond my own
plain membrane in the sea of graduates and scholars.

Day 17

Day 17- Write a poem that employs a rhyme scheme.

ABBA

Gravel crunching beneath my boot
Sun burning a hole into my temple
Wind pushing me back a few levels
As I tread to the sideline of a highway to an unknown truth

Day 16

Day 16- Respond to the poem you posted yesterday with a poem of your own.

A line split the whole
Creating two in its place

One clad in a pure, flawless white suit with a matching white lily on his breast pocket
Hair untidy and carelessly hand combed to the side
He had the biggest smile that made you smile by proximity
And his eyes were bright with warming jubilance

The other a stark difference

Attired in a blood red suit, black shirt, dead black rose pinned to his breast pocket
Hair combed and held in place in a presentable fashion
Mouth curved into an aloof and pompous smirk

But, it was his eyes…
Both a deep abyss of darkness
With a glint of some fire
Faint yet omnipotent
A fire that burned through your very soul with malicious intent

The two looked at each other
Smile and Smirk
